Production Concept: Brochure Research

I really like the layout of this brochure. I would like mine to look similar.

I also like this two from STA.

Production Concept: Inspiration for Brochure

I have decided that in my final package I would like to present all of my important documents and research in a holiday brochure type book. I have tried doing this myself on publisher but I know that I haven't got the skills to make it look professional and so I have contacted a few graphic designers to see if they would be able to help me make this.

I have gathered together a few examples of young holiday brochures which will give the graphic designers an idea of what I am looking for.

Production Concept: Inspiration for My Title Sequence

Today I met with 2 animators one of whom is a Ba Hons CG Arts and Animation graduate from Rochester UCA and the other who is in her second year on the course. I met with them both to discuss collaborating with them to make my title sequence. For the meeting I prepared this video of clips I had put together of title sequences and other videos I liked which I thought we would be able to get inspiration from. The main theme of the video is stop animation as I really like the way it looks and I think it is quite modern and would fit with the kind of show I'm trying to create. I added a few music samples to the video as well which I liked one of them was an instrumental which I found on Youtube and the other 2 are by well know artists so I will have to try and get permission to use them if I decided to go with one of those.

I also presented them with this document explaining what I wanted.

I listened to what both animators had to say and I really liked both their ideas. We are going to meet again at the end of next week so they can show me some visuals for their ideas and I can try and decided who I think is best for the job and which title sequence I think will fit best with my show

Production Concept: Sticking to the ITV Rules

I know that because I am pitching my idea for ITV2 I am going to have to comply with all their rules. I have found a few things on their websites which should help me and I will also give them a ring to get a better understanding on how I need to format all my documents and also what rules I have to follow when filming my extended trailer.

Production Concept: My Package

I have decided that I want to present all of my documents like my treatment, scripts, audience research, platform research etc in a holiday brochure type book and I want my 2 main presenters to have their own passports with their profiles in them.

I have tried doing this by myself on publisher and I have come to realize that I am not going to be able to do a very professional job as I'm not very creative with things like that so I am going to try and collaborate with a graphic designer to help me make these things.

Production Concept: The Origin of YOLO

In my package I am going to have to explain the title of my program. I found this video which explains how much YOLO is used.

Production Concept: Finding an Animator

Today I had a tutorial with Simon and I said the same as everyone else that this past week I had been concentrating on my dissertation rather than my production concept. He understood this and he gave me a few more things to focus on this week to do with my production concept such as thinking about music for my title sequence and getting permission for it if I needed it or commissioning someone to compose it, finding someone to create my title sequence and also getting organised with my extended trailer.

So today I left a comment on the Ba Hons CG Arts & Animation @ UCA Rochester Course Blog asking if anyone would be interested in making me a title sequence. I have already had 3 people respond to me saying that they would like to get involved and so I have contacted them explaining the project more and hopefully they will like the idea and will want to get involved.

Tomorrow I am also going to talk to a graphic designer to see if there is anything he can help me on and I am also going to ask my marketing friends what they can offer me which I can put in my package.
