Second Day of Filming

Today was my second day of filming as I managed to get all of the outside scenes filmed yesterday I was able to concentrate on the inside scenes today.

I only had a short period of time to film the scenes with Savannah as my friend had to leave so I quickly set up my scene with the props I needed and then began filming. I shot a lot of different scenes which conveyed friendship, some of them where ones I hadn't even planned but I thought that I should get a lot of different shots so that I had a lot to play around with when it came to editing.

Once my friend had left Maddie and I could begin filming the scenes where Rosie was showing us around her room and explaining her love for Savannah.

Tomorrow I will upload my footage and begin editing

Firat Day of Filming

Today was the first day of my filming it went really well and I'm really pleased with the results. I got lots of shots so I've got lots to work with when it comes to editing my trailer.

Today I did all the outside shots which I will use in the day dream bit of my trailer.

I had a friend from home help me by playing the role of Savannah and I had Maddie playing Rosie. I wanted Rosie to be very over happy and excitable and for Savannah still to be quite stiff and blanked faced like she was still the cardboard cut out.

Tomorrow I am going to film the inside scenes at my room in halls and then I think I will be ready to edit.

Trailer for Soft

This is the trailer that Zee and I came up with for Soft. We were given the whole film on Monday and we're told to create a 1 minute trailer. We added our own pieces of music and used our Final Cut skills to create a trailer which sets the tone to the whole film but does not give the ending away.

The Script Version 1

This is my first attempt at the script for "The Meeting" I found it really hard as I'm not very confident with creative writing but I did my best and here's what I came up with.
The Meeting Script Version 1

The Synopsis Version 1

Here is my first draft of "The Meeting" Synopsis

Comedy set mainly in unlucky student Rosie’s bedroom which has walls covered in pictures of Savannah, a rich and famous American singer. Her room is cluttered with all kinds of merchandise with Savannah’s face on it including T-shirts and badges which Rosie made herself.

A series of flashbacks, shown with transitions through the pictures on Rosie’s walls, shows her failed attempts at meeting and getting the one thing she wants from Savannah. Her autograph. The flash backs are set in various locations to show that Rosie is an extremely obsessed fan and will do anything and travel anywhere, to meet Savannah and get that all important autograph. Rosie always seems to get caught by Savannah’s butch suited and booted body guards who are stuck to Savannah like glue and are on red alert for obsessed fans.

Ordinary 18 year old Rosie is a celebrity obsessed fan who has driven all of her friends away as they do not share the same passion for Savannah, or any of the other celebrities she has fixated upon in the past. They began to get extremely bored with her constant talk of Savannah as they were hearing the same facts over and over again. This has never seemed to bother Rosie as she believes she doesn’t need friends because she has her life size cardboard cut out of Savannah to talk to. Rosie’s time is filled with finding out everything she can about Savannah and coming up with plans on how and when they can meet. Rosie carries her autograph book around with her everywhere just in case she bumps into Savannah on that rare day she isn’t stalking her.

Be prepared to laugh at the misfortune of Rosie as you watch how hard she tries to get that autograph she is so desperate to add to her collection.

The Pitch Version 1

This is my first draft of "The Meeting" pitch.

Comedy following the unlucky life of a celebrity obsessed fan desperate to get her favourite singers autograph at whatever cost.

Pre-Writing

Before writing a script you need to pre-write so that you get to know your characters and your setting so that you know exactly what and who you are writing about.
